EP. 26 THE OMAN HOUSE WITH DAVID OMAN

There’s a house that sits on Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon that has an array of paranormal activity. It’s best known as The David Oman House and its located just 200 ft from where the Sharon Tate and Manson Murders took place in 1969.

In 2014 David Oman produced and co-wrote a movie documentary about the paranormal activity that has been going on in his house. It’s called The House at The End of the Drive. Since producing this film, Oman feels that the spirits have really reached out to him. One of those spirits is the ghost of Sharon Tate.

On today’s episode, Hollyweird Paranormal traveled to the Benedict Canyon to tour The Oman House and interview David Oman himself.  Tune in to find out what we experienced before and during our recording session with David.  You don’t want to miss it!

EP. 22 THE POLTERGEIST CURSE & PARANORMAL AFTERMATH

Behind every spooky horror movie is a notion that the events really did take place. Is that true for the 1982 hit classic film The Poltergeist?

Reportedly, yes. The film was based (loosely) on the events experienced by a 1953 New York family, the Hermanns and their little boy, James.

But the film’s story centers around a little girl, and a  poltergeist who terrorizes  her and her whole family.

it seems that Superstitious legend holds that a number of strange deaths are connected to a ‘curse’ on the ‘Poltergeist’ film series.

was a curse the cause for the deaths that followed the film’s trilogy series?

What strange events occurred on set ?

What followed the cast and crew members home after filming?

We talk about this and much more on Ep. 22 the curse and paranormal aftermath of the film, The Poltergeist!

Ep. 20 The Dark History & Secrets of The Wizard of Oz | Paranormal Aftermath

“if we walk far enough, says dorothy”

“we shall sometime come to someplace….”

Whether it was singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” or following our own Yellow Brick Road, THE WIZARD OF OZ  is still referenced with great affection to this day. It’s hard to imagine that filming this seminal film was anything but happy and magical, and yet, sadly, it seems there was more than one dark moment during this film’s production back in the late 1930s.

Ever since it premiered back in 1939, rumors have circulated about the making of the film Including the fate of the first Tin Man and a possible suicide.Image result for the haunted wizard of oz

EP. 19 The Winchester Mystery House | Sarah Winchester

In 1886 an eccentric woman named Sarah Winchester travelled from New Haven, Connecticut to San Jose , California, to start a new life. She purchased a small eight-room farmhouse and started a small renovation project that would take 36 years and $5.5 million, only stopping when she passed away in 1922.

Legend has it that she was led by spirits  to California to build a home that would appease the spirits of the victims who were killed by the Winchester Rifle.  The only catch, if she continued building, she would live. Stop and she would die.

What clues reside within the home’s walls and windows, Was Sarah Winchester controlled by the spirits of dead to build such a palatial home?  And do those spirits haunt the Winchester mystery house?

EP. 18 The Casting Curse of James Dean, Natalie Woods, Sal Mineo & Nick Adams | Rebel Without A Cause

The Rebel Without A Cause Casting Curse

Hollywood stars may seem larger than life, but of course, they are just as vulnerable to life’s tragedies, including the chance of dying at a young age.  Their celebrity was sometimes brief, sometimes felt for decades. What they had in common was a death that came too soon.

BUT SOMEHOW THEY ALWAYS COME back ….

James Dean once said, “dream as if you’ll live forever; live as if you’ll die today.”

Rebel w/o a cause was a classic film detailing the sordid adventures of a youth struggling with identity and clashing generational attitudes is widely regarded as one of the most significant movies in film history.

One month before the release of Rebel Without a Cause, James Dean,  was killed in a head-on collision while driving his Porsche 550 Spyder, the same vehicle he drove while shooting Rebel.  It was Dean’s premature death that cast a shadow over the film but it was the incredibly emotional and volatile behavior that occurred on set and the horrific death of the lead actor that many have blamed for the curse that followed.

Co-Stars Sal Mineo, Nick Adams and Natalie Wood also suffered horrific and premature deaths, Sal being stabbed to death outside his apartment, Nick Adams’ mysterious suicide and Natalie drowning accidentally after falling off her yacht.

Ep.4 Famous Haunted Hollywood Apartments

Drive around Hollywood neighborhoods and you can see buildings and structures that have been around since the development of the city.   The art deco structure and their unique designs can almost tell stories of the golden era.

Many of these structure were owned by major production companies, MGM, RKO, Warner, Paramount and 20th century Fox.  Their purpose was to house fresh and new actors/actresses during their transition period in Hollywood.

Within time these structures have seen many deaths, suicides and strange occurrences.  Eventually they were passed down to different owners and were bought by other companies to turn them into public apartments.  However, there is that saying, “if these walls can talk…” in a lot of these dwelling, they literally do. Press your ear against the wall, and you might hear something.  Can it an old famous Hollywood resident that is trying to communicate with you from beyond the grave?  Or could it be something else?  We also talk about  sipping mimosas with Mae West’s ghost, LA rent and one famous Hollywood Hotel/Apartments that was the inspiration of Disney’s Hollywood Tower of Terror Ride.  Brice also shares his first Hollywood party experience on the rooftop of famous apartment building LOL!  Stay tuned!
